ROCK AND ICE PHOTO CAMP CONTEST

Win a FREE spot in our exclusive climbing photo camp, valued at $1,599! For information on the photo camp, click here.

If you have climbing photos, you can enter.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Post no more than 10 of your best photos.

2. Photos should be “saved for web” and no larger than 1,000 pixels wide or tall. Smaller is OK, but if you want your shots to look their best, we recommend you size them around 1,000 pixels in either dimension.

HOW YOU CAN WIN: The editorial board of Rock and Ice will evaluate the photos and select the winner based on quality and creativity.

John Long: Nothing but Rubble
The never-ending pursuit of new routes, fame and glory.
Game On
"The best story I know of Bridalveil Falls," says Vince Anderson, "involves a couple of friends who ended up in an all-night chase through the forest, eventually eluding the police."
Francesca Metcalf: Meant to Compete
Francesca Metcalf sits on her bedroom floor for over an hour, fixated, clicking and forming the top layer of a Rubik’s Cube. A few days later she wakes up and finds the Rubik’s Cube in her bed. “It’s a little sad,” the Boston-area climber, who turned 18 in March, says, “how much time I’ve put into it.”
TNB: Chris Sharma and The Art of Jeep Maintenance
The scorched desert expanse surrounding Las Vegas smears together into one terrible brown color as Chris Sharma, Dalia Ojeda, Miguel and I whiz along at 90 miles per hour in an old Jeep Grand Cherokee. The American West, this celebrated frontier, as tame as it has become with commercialism and super highways, is still the last good place I know of for real adventure.
Black Diamond Offset Micro Stoppers Review
These tiny nuts are a compound of copper and iron machined to offset wedges and swaged with a patented technology that Black Diamond claims is strong, flexible and not prone to fraying. These are the next-generation RP.
