Rest and elbow tendonosis?

I have bilateral medial elbow tendonosis.  I have been doing the exercises per the "dodgy elbows" articles and the online videos.  I think it is starting to help, but still have a little pain even at rest.  What I can't seem to sort out from the articles and videos is whether or not I should be taking time off from climbing + training or if I should continue climbing at a low, easy level taking care to use only an open-handed grip?  Thanks for your help...
