Dave Macleod has bounced back from a recent accident that required foot surgery, to redpoint Malsonando (5.14b) in Spain. Macleod's recovery is impressive, considering his surgery was a little over two months ago.

"I was able to climb Malsonando in pretty bad conditions which I was very happy with." writes Macleod on his blog. "My endurance is still barely off the baseline level and I got quite pumped well before the crux, but it's definitely a good place to be 2.5 months after the surgeon was drilling into my Talus."

Macleod's accident occurred on September 28, and was a result of being lowered off the end of a borrowed rope that was shorter than he thought. Macleod fell approximately eight feet above a small ledge, which he clipped with his foot during his fall. 

"For a minute or two I thought I might have gotten away with it, but very quickly my right foot started to get bigger and severely objected to being weighted," wrote Macleod.
