Sasha Digiulian continues to roll, climbing big wall/multipitch in the Dolomites and making an onsight of Pole Position (5.13c) at the Italian crag Erto on a “rest day,” according to her 8a.nu page. Erto is located in northern Italy about fifty minutes from the city of Cortina. Guidedolomiti.com explains that Erto “has historical significance in that it marked the evolution of climbing in the larger area of Northern Veneto.”
Digiulian has been on fire in recent months, taking advantage of her summer break from Columbia University to travel and climb. On a recent trip to South Africa, Digiulian completed the first ascent of Rolihlahla (5.14c) and Mis-Behaving (5.14a), as well as the first female ascent of Godzilla (5.13d). More recently, Digiulian won the highly touted Psicobloc Masters Series event in Park City, Utah on August 2nd.
