    Armenia Rock Climbing
    Six-sided columns ran up basalt ramparts like a stack of Grecian pillars. A dike of perfect gold stairs split a strange, 300-foot tower of gray choss. Snowy mountains with slopes of varicolored grasses fell precipitously to orchards, sedge and clear rivers. Gorges of volcanic rock were cloaked in fog.

    There are arguably two people in the world that have established V16. One is, of course, the Czech phenom Adam Ondra with his traverse Terranova. The other, however, is a quiet spoken Italian cop by the name of Christian Core. His problem Gioia [Joy] has only been repeated by Adam Ondra, who confirmed the problem's unprecedented grade of V16. Now Core has discovered a new boulder, in the same area as Gioia, near his home in Varazze, Italy. Could this be the first V17?
