The six-foot, 178-pound German bouldering beast Jan Hojer has cranked the first ascent of Jour de Chasse (V15) in Fontainebleau, France. The new line starts on Mécanique Elèmentaire (V15) and then continues into the finish of Narcotic (V12/13). Hojer had previously completed Mécanique Elèmentaire, which he considered to be hard V14 according to Björn Pohl from UKClimbing.com. The new finish, however, does warrant the V15 grade for Hojer, though he thinks it's at the easier end of the grade.
Perhaps just as impressive as his new first ascent are the other hard boulder problems Hojer put down during his two days in Fontainebleau. The day before putting together Jour de Chasse, Hojer ticked Super Tanker (V14). The next day he completed Narcotic Direct (V13) before making the first ascent of Jour de Chasse.
