VIDEO: Rad WI11 in Helmcken Falls
Last winter, Klemen Premrl and Tim Emmett completed the first and second ascents (respectively) of Wolverine (WI11) in Helmcken Falls, British Columbia.
Wolverine is a steep-to-horizontal route that forces climbers to navigate fragile stalactites of spray ice. This is not the pair's first adventure new routing in Helmcken--they also sent Spray On... Top!, a 230 meter overhanging route with pitches as hard as WI9 and M9+, in Helmcken on February 6, 2012.
