Manufacturer says:

The Eiger GV revolutionizes modern methods of alpine, ice and mixed climbing. The technological advances in the materials and components used in this boot facilitate greater range of motion and precision. The uppers are made from polyamide fabric plus microfiber which is supple and soft offering a higher degree of mobility. It is enclosed in a gaitor made from Superfabric Technical fabric providing waterproof protection. The lining is Gore-tex Duratherm providing thermal insulation and when combined with the gaitor these two components ensure excellent moisture management. What allows for the uppers to be more flexible is the sole construction. A combination of Asoframe from Carbon Kevlar and a high density microporous rubber Vibram outsole provides the user with a more sensitive boot that is light weight and rigid. Both semi and automatic crampons can be used with this boot. Whether you are an ice or mixed climber, making alpine ascents, or mountaineering, the Eiger GV is a great companion.
