The Psicobloc Masters deep-water-soloing competition is one of the wildest events in climbing, with two competitors racing identical routes side-by-side, free solo, to the top of the fifty-foot wall above the Olympic Park aerial ski training pool in Park City, Utah.

In finals, 12 male and 12 female “Masters” are joined by an additional four male and four female wildcards who made the cut in qualifiers. Competitors are paired based on their performance (time or highpoint) from the seeding round the day before. If both competitors make it to the top, the faster climber moves on to the next round while the other is eliminated. If one or both climbers fall, whoever makes it the highest will continue to the next round.

On July 29, at the fifth-annual Psicobloc Masters, Jimmy Webb and Kyra Condie beat the bracket to claim victory. This photo gallery shares highlights from the evening.
