Western Washington University (WWU) is pleased to announce Veni. Vidi. Ascendi. Version 4.0, part of the 4th Annual Northwest Collegiate Climbing Challenge (NC3). The competitions are designed to foster community involvement in and bring attention to the increasingly popular sport of climbing.
Last year, the series of eight climbing competitions had over 1000 participants from 14 universities and their surrounding communities. With over 125 competitors, Veni. Vidi. Ascendi. was the largest competition of 2010 and is scheduled to kick off the entire series on Saturday, January 22, 2011.
This series allows participants to experience a high level of competitive sport and foster growth in the climbing community. Local sponsors include: REI, Backcountry Essentials, Erin Bakers Cookies, Belly Timber Bars, So-Ill, Outdoor Research, American Alpine Institute, North Cascades Mountain Guides, The Mountaineers Books and more!
