Weekend Whipper: Another One Bites the Dust!

01-May-2014

In this Weekend Whipper, we visit an outcropping of stone in England called Yarncliffe. The climber is roughly three feet above his first piece of pro on a nice looking trad route, but is stymied. He attempts to climb higher, yet he can't find the footholds. So he begins to downclimb. But just as he attempts to reach a lower stance, he slips ... and the extra slack in the rope doesn't keep him off the ledge below, despite the quick reaction from his belayer.

And another one down, another one down, another one takes the whip!
