John Long: The Only Rule That Counts
The greatest riches lie at the end of your dreams
Waimea (5.10d): Runmey, New Hampshire
I've spent the last decade traveling to the world’s best sport-climbing areas, but a recent trip to my old stomping grounds reminded me of how good we have it here at home. Rumney, New Hampshire, is a rather small area but it is stacked with over 700 sport routes spread out over 20some crags on Rattlesnake Mountain.
Jody Hansen
LAST YEAR JODY HANSEN came out of nowhere to tick a trilogy of V11 boulder problems in Rocky Mountain National Park, outside her home in Estes Park, Colorado. She sent the Kind Traverse, Sunspot and Bush Pilot, a long arete that overhangs 40 degrees.

The American West, this celebrated frontier, as tame as it has become with commercialism and super highways, is still the last good place I know of for real adventure.
Arc'teryx Fission SL Jacket Review
The Fission SL’s biggest achievement is its marriage of a waterproof shell with insulation. The outer fabric is Pro Shell, the latest, lightest, most durable two-layer iteration of Gore-Tex.
