Alex Puccio Sends Her Second V14, Wheel of Chaos
Alex Puccio climbs Wheel of Chaos (V14) in RMNP, becoming the first female to bag two V14s after sending Jade last month.

Alex Puccio has climbed her second V14, Wheel of Chaos in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado, just six weeks after becoming the fourth woman to climb V14 (Jade in RMNP) and a month after her first place finish at Arco Rock Master. Puccio is now the first female to have sent two V14s.
“So psyched! Second day on it,” Puccio wrote on her 8a.nu scorecard. “Mini epic today. Fell on the last move first go today and then took a while to get back there.”
Since her second place finish at the World Bouldering Championships in Munich and her victory at Arco, Puccio has returned to the US to continue her tear across RMNP. Puccio sent Freaks of the Industry (V13) on September 7 and Riddles in the Park (V13) the following day before taking down the 25-move Wheel of Chaos on September 20.
Daniel Woods first sent Wheel of Chaos last year, describing it as “one of the highest and hardest lines (so far) in the park” since the problem requires a four-mile approach at 10,600 feet.
Puccio’s ticklist now includes ten V12s, four V13s and two V14s.
