Coxsey took second place in the Bouldering World Cup earlier this year and has done two V13s, according to her 8a.nu scorecard.
“Psyched doesn’t come close,” Coxsey wrote on Instagram about becoming the third woman to ever climb a V14.
Mirko Caballero also climbed a V14 this weekend, the second of his career, sending Golden Shadow in Rocklands, South Africa. Caballero climbed his first V14 in March, sending Meadowlark Lemon Sit in Red Rocks, Nevada.
Caballero, in just three weeks’ time, has done 23 boulders V9 and harder, including three V11 flashes and several V13 sends.
“Super psyched to put it [Golden Shadow] down,” Caballero wrote on his Instagram. “Didn’t know if I had it today, but after a quick beta change it went!”
