Kevin Jorgeson has polished off the last 5.13 pitches on the Dawn Wall and has topped out on Wino Tower.

“In another inspiring battle late into the night Kevin managed to send pitches 18, 19, and 20,” posted Caldwell on Instagram. “Clouds swirled all around it was truly a surreal scene.”

Caldwell and Jorgeson are now roughly 12 pitches from the top of El Cap. The difficulties guarding the summit of the Dawn Wall max-out at 5.12d.

“Tomorrow we leave our bacecamp and blast towards the top,” posted Caldwell. “With some luck we will be standing on top in a couple days.”
