The Oakdale Climber’s Festival—held on October 17, 18 and 19—is themed “A Woman’s Reach: Adventures in a Parallel Realm.” The festival will showcase several generations of women climbers, examining their role in the trends of women’s involvement in climbing since World War 1.

The event, now in its third year, celebrates “the history of climbers, told by climbers … including films, authors, artists and more,” according to the festival’s website.
