Forty-Five days, five countries, 1,243 miles of traveling, and 30 astonishing climbing destinations. The Petzl RocTrip invites climbers to join them on a road-trip across Eastern Europe beginning September 11. Every four to five days they will move their caravan to a different big wall, crag, boulder field, or deep water-solo destination and establish new climbing in that area. The 2014 RocTrip will include 10 basecamps spread across the countries of Romania, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Greece, and Turkey.
Petzl wants climbers to join them on this adventure, whether it is for one day, a week or the whole trip. You can travel by your own means, or join them on one of their buses to participate. Pre-register online, so they can plan accordingly. Climb with the team during the day and enjoy campfires and talks with Petzl climbers like Lynn Hill and Chris Sharma at night.
You can also win two round-trip airline tickets to Antalya, Turkey, for October 13-19 by entering your best climbing photo in the RocTrip photo contest. Simply go to http://www.petzl.com/us/outdoor/petzlroctripcontest, upload your photo and fill out the form to win a spot on the adventure!
