Update: Jimmy Webb Flashes Two V12s, One V13 at Leavenworth
Clearly, ascents of The Wheel of Wolvo and Delirium (both V15s) were not enough for Jimmy Webb, who last weekend flashed two V12s in what is turning out to be a ground-breaking year for the boulderer from Chattanooga. While on a trip to Leavenworth, Washington, Jimmy managed to flash Turbulence (V12) and do a sit start to Cotton Pony, which he downgraded from V12 to V11. Update: today Webb flashed The Tea Cup (V13).

“The rock around here is absolutely incredible,” Webb wrote on 8a.nu. “Perfect.”
Leavenworth is home to a wealth of granite boulders hidden within the Cascades and only two hours from Seattle.
While on a trip to the area, Webb also came away with a flash of Resurrection Low (V11) and redpoints of Tornado (V12) and Angelina Jolie (V10).
“It’s always refreshing seeing new places and having the opportunity to climb on such incredible pieces of rock,” Webb wrote on his Instagram.
Webb has now climbed 50 boulders V12 and higher, according to 8a.nu, giving him one of the most impressive ticklists of any boulderer in the world. Out of these 50 ascents, 10 of them are flashes up to V13.
And his trip is not over yet. To the right is a picture of an unnamed and unclimbed Leavenworth problem from Webb’s Instagram, complete with Webb’s comment: “Just another amazing problem in Leavenworth that we have to try … Can’t wait to try this one!”
