VINTAGE VIDEO: Dani Andrada on La Rambla (5.15a)
Classic! Spanish legend Dani Andrada gives La Rambla (5.15a) a burn in the 1990s.
Dani Andrada is the reigning king of Spanish sport climbing, with multiple 5.15a first ascents. However, his one remaining nemesis is La Rambla (5.15a), at the El Pati sector of Siurana, Spain. La Rambla was established by the visiting German Alexander Huber in 1994, and was extended by the Spaniard Ramon Puigblanque in 2003: giving it the current grade of 5.15a. Andrada began trying La Rambla in 1996, and although he still has not sent the route, his mastery of the moves has aged like a fine wine. Enjoy this vintage video of Andrada coming close to sending one of the most classic sport climbs in the world.
