Kelly Halpin completes the “Picnic” (a.k.a. Grand Teton Triathlon), in Jackson Hole,
Wyoming. The challenge involves biking 22.3 miles from Jackson’s town square to Jenny Lake in Grand Teton National Park, swimming 1.3 miles across
the lake, hiking and climbing 10 miles (six thousand vertical feet of gain) to the summit of Teewinot, and the reverse back to Jackson.
In 2013, Haplin became the first woman to complete a self-supported Picnic. She has now completed two versions of the Grand Teton Triathlon, up Teewinot
and Mt. Moran.
