The Swarm is a Buttermilks classic out in Bishop, California. Crimpy, powerful, overhanging and reasonably big, it was established by British climber Matt Birch, and has acquired its classic status partly through its illustrious list of repeaters, Dave Graham, Daniel Woods, Paul Robinson, Kevin Jorgeson, Fred Nicole, Nalle Hukkatavial, Ethan Pringle, Ashima Shiraishi and Alex Puccio, among others. Shiraishi made the first female ascent of The Swarm in January 2015.

In 2017, Sam Weir did his first V15 when he repeated Dave Graham’s Topaz, located in Wild Basin, Rocky Mountain National Great work taking down this classic Sam!
