Searching for Christmas Tree
Is that not the most beautiful ice line you've ever seen?!
In this great short film, He Chuan, a university teacher looking to break free from a life of routine, goes in search of a mysterious frozen waterfall of which no one knows the whereabouts.
This film also offers an interesting side look into a rarely seen facet of China, a snapshot of a generation growing up in tandem with China’s transformation over the past few decades.
In the American Alpine Journal entry detailing the first ascent, Lindsay Griffin writes, He Chuan “says that Merry Christmas (140m, WI6) is the most beautiful climb he has seen, and also the most fun to climb.”
