In the summer of 2016, Chilean climber Lucho Birkner and German climber Sonja Schenkel traveled to India for a project they called “Sharanam Ganesha Kids & Climb, Rocks & Chai”. Their purpose: to donate climbing gear—which they had collected in
drop boxes in climbing gyms around Chile—teach climbing classes, and help clean up India’s most popular crag. This is their story.
