Alex Borst, a Portland native, claims the third ascent of Freakshow (5.14a) in the Rat Cave, Oregon (not to be confused with Neil Gresham’s Freakshow (8c/5.14b) in Kilnsey, U.K.). Ryan Palo made the first ascent, followed by Joe Kinder. Borst
put his efforts into the power-endurance route as training before the competitive bouldering season.
