Janelle and Mark Smiley are on a mission to climb all the routes in the famous alpine guidebook Fifty Classic Climbs of North America by Steve Roper and Allen Steck. In this video, they brave rock and ice fall to reach the summit of Mount Waddington in British Columbia.

The Smileys are based in Crested Butte, Colorado, and they plan to go back and attempt Cassin Ridge on Denali and the Moose’s Tooth in the Ruth Gorge this summer.
