We couldn’t tell you for sure what happened (or what didn’t happen) in this clip. All we know is that the climber, Mohammad Bagheri, while climbing in Iran, takes a HUGE fall—over 10 meters, he told us in his email—stopping a mere foot from the ground. He was only saved from cratering when a third partner somehow arrested his fall.

Thankfully, no one was injured. Bagheri lived to climb another day, which means we can now bicker on the internet about what happened and what went wrong! Cheers to you Mohammad for sending this clip in.

Happy Friday and climb safe this weekend!
