This week’s whipper comes from the Coliseum in East Sooke Park, Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Our friend Samuel blazes up the face of the 4-bolt burner Desperados (5.12d), and through the pumpy crux, only to be foiled when a hold blows.
There aren’t many valid excuses you can drop when someone asks why you didn’t send, but broken rock is definitely one of them.
