Weekend Whipper: “Helmets Are Good” – Wayward Dyno in Liming, China
"Helmets are good," quips Aidan Multhauf after his fall off this wild-looking dyno on Eagle-Eyed Super Hawk (5.12), Liming, China.
Eagle-Eyed Super Hawk, a 5.12 in Liming, China, involves an all-points-off dyno the likes of which you rarely see in outdoor routes. Aidan Multhauf launches into the air, grasps the hold, but can’t quite hold on.
“My hands peeled off and my body kept going,” Aidan told Rock and Ice. “I swung back from my last bolt and couldn’t rotate in time so I smacked my head. Good thing I had a helmet on so I could stick the move on the next go!”
Nice work, Aidan!
Happy Friday and climb safe this weekend!
