In this whipper, Nathan takes his first plunge on gear on Rock Wars (5.10a) at the Long Wall in the Red River Gorge. We see the “ankle-catch, upside-down flip” pretty often, but the downwards running man is an elusive beast.
As much as we all like to turn and take in the sights once in a while, we here at R&I personally try to avoid doing our ground-scanning while falling. Glad you didn’t deck on this one, Nathan.
