A climber takes a bad whipper on Pope’s Crack (5.9) in Joshua Tree National Park. According to the uploader’s description, a cam pulled out from a flaring placement and his ankle got caught on the rope as he fell, flipping him upside down. Luckily, he was stopped by “a good nut” with his head only a couple of feet from the ground. Yet another example of why it is important to watch your feet in relation with the rope in case of a fall.
